Buoys and Girls, I hope this RR finds you well this Christmas Eve and that everyone has found time to spend with family and friends. Before exiting 2014 and entering the New Year, which will be full of yummy eateries and great recipes from Amanda, I’d like to leave you with a small thank you.
So far we’ve eaten at brunch spots, casual joints, food trucks, sandwich shops, elegant restaurants, hometown favorites, greasy spoons and hole-in-the-wall establishments. Next year we’ll be adding more of the above so get excited!
But when I stop to think about it, it’s amazing that we got this entire blog kickstarted just halfway through 2014 and now find ourselves at year-end with loyal followers, daily visitors from around the world, and a serious momentum of new ideas. All of this would not be possible without you, so thank you for reading and for making it all a reality!
Merry Christmas Eve, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! See you in 2015!
Key Takeaways:
- Catch up on any of your favorite RR by Webbie’s here.
- We have been to eight restaurants in the Washington DC WMA (three in DC, three in Arlington/Northern VA, and three in Bethesda), two in Pittsburgh, PA, and one in Chapel Hill, NC… oh Buoy, we have so much more to eat!!!
- Next year, I will be writing about the best meal I have ever had (note: it was in NY; get ready!)
Webbie’s Wisdom (or lack thereof):
Eating is not merely a material pleasure. Eating well gives a spectacular joy to life and contributes immensely to goodwill and happy companionship. It is of great importance to the morale.
– Elsa Schiaparelli
I was eating in a Chinese restaurant downtown. There was a dish called Mother and Child Reunion. It’s chicken and eggs. And I said, I gotta use that one.
